Re-Tooling TBL

For several years TBL was a blog where I wrote about a wide variety of topics. Those postings are still in the Blog Archive and many are about professional development for engineers. I am now transitioning TBL to be a place where my current and former students can find information related to job searches.

I just read the Duluth News Tribune website about a death at United Taconite. My sympathies go out to our friends who work at UTAC as they suffer the loss of another colleague.

Ron, sounds like a good time over there, I'm jealous. With regards to the VT shootings, it really bothers me that the media would give the satisfaction to the killer and encouragement to those who want to go out in a blaze of glory by showing his video’s to the entire nation. They claim it will give people some understanding to his reasons for doing what he did, but all I can see is it was a slap in the face to the victims and fulfillment of the killers desires. Makes me ill. Bon Voyage.

Ron, while you are in Germany are you going to get together with Katie Iaizzo? She had mentioned to me a while ago that you might visit her while you were over there. I haven't talked to her in a while, so if you see her tell her hi from Emily.
